Treatment and prevention of gastric and duodenal ulcers. Reduction of basal or induced gastric acid secretion caused by phenylbutazone-type drugs, food, competition stress, transport, and changes in habitat.

It is contraindicated in animals with renal insufficiency, hepatic dysfunction, and hypersensitivity to the drug.
