Therapeutic action and Indications

Antibacterial specially formulated to combat infectious processes where the causative agent is sensitive to penicillin.

Effective against Gram-positive bacteria and some Gram-negative bacteria, both aerobic and anaerobic.

Among the aerobes beta-hemolytic streptococcus, streptococcus equi, and non-beta-lactamase-producing staphylococcus.

Contraindications

Animals with a history of hypersensitivity or allergy to penicillin and/or cephalosporins.

Avoid using this product in animals undergoing treatment with anesthetics and muscle relaxants.

Do not administer simultaneously with tetracyclines.

Dose

The total recommended dose is 20,000 IU of penicillin per kg, which is equivalent to administering 1 ml per 20 kg of body weight.

The treatment should be repeated every 12 or 24 hours, or as deemed appropriate by the attending professional.

The duration of the treatment will be evaluated based on the case and the sensitivity of the pathogens to the antibiotic. Intramuscular injectable.

Precautions

a- Shake gently before use.

b- Do not mix with other medications in the same syringe.

c- Administer exclusively by intramuscular injection.

d- After surgery, administer once the effects of anesthetics and/or muscle relaxants have worn off.

e- In cases where the dose is 10 ml per animal, administer in different application sites.

f- For horses participating in official races, suspend treatment 30 days before the competition due to the risk of a positive doping result.

g- Keep out of reach of children.

h- Apply with clean, dry materials following aseptic procedures.
